SAIT offers resources to help people learn about STEM

Lego Mindstorm kits are available at the SAIT library for students to use and borrow.

These kits are for making small Lego robotic toys that can be built upon with attachments, and they give people a hands-on way to practice programming and basic concepts behind engineering.

Diego Rios, 25, is alumni from the information technology telecom systems program at SAIT, and he believes these kits are beneficial to anyone looking to learn more about STEM and try a basic project.

“It’s a good introduction to mechanical engineering and programming languages,” said Rios.

“It’s a very basic programming language, and it’s very easy to understand for children.”
