SAIT offers resources to help people learn STEM skills

SAIT students and alumni are encouraged to use the Maker Space, located in the basement of the SAIT library, to learn and practice STEM skills.

The Maker Space is free to use, and includes several hands-on stations including the following: soldering, a raspberry pi work station, 3-D printing, and a CNC machine.

Diego Rios, 25, is alumni from the information technology telecom systems program at SAIT.

β€œIt really helped me during my capstone project,” said Rios.

β€œI needed to 3-D print some cases, and I used their services for that.”

Both the president and vice president of the club are engineering students, and an engineering professor frequently goes to the Maker Space as well. All three of these people are able to help students with what they need.
